Northstar Aerospace ("Northstar") is a leading independent manufacturer of components and assemblies to the global aerospace industry. Principal products include gears and transmissions, accessory gearbox assemblies, rotorcraft drive systems and other machined and fabricated parts for helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. In addition, Northstar provides maintenance and repair and overhaul (MRO) on these same platforms.

Northstar has operating subsidiaries in Canada and the United States. The Company's corporate office is located in Bedford Park, Illinois, near Chicago.

1993 Acquired the business and assets of the Gears and Transmissions Division of Spar Aerospace Limited
Formation of Derlan Aerospace by combining Spar and Havlik assets in a plant at Milton, Ontario, which is now part of Northstar Aerospace (Canada), Inc.
1998 Initiated divestiture of 11 non-aerospace businesses
1999/2000 Teaming Agreement signed in 1999 with Boeing to develop manufacturing capability for Face Gear technology; followed by acquisition of Boeing Precision Gear business now Northstar Aerospace (Chicago), Inc., in April 2000
2001 Acquired Windsor Gear, Windsor, Ontario
2002/2003 Legal name changed in 2002 to Northstar Aerospace, Inc., to reflect focus on aerospace business; followed by relocation in 2003 of corporate office from Toronto, Ontario to Chicago, Illinois
2006 Apache Block III development contract signed with The Boeing Company
2009/2010 $20 million reduction in debt in 2009; followed by a new credit facility in March 2010
2010 Low-rate initial production contract signed for Apache Block III Face Gear transmission
